“Culture” and “Tradition” are more significant in a country like India which has always been cherishing its rich culture and heritage and it’s quite well known for it worldwide. But these things are just on paper and are slowly losing their sheen. Why?
India is known by her people. We, the younger generation are the representatives of India in a true sense of the word. Even in history, we come across various incidents where the youth took the lead to bring about a change and get India independence from the British rule. We, the Indian youth have always been the power and pride of India. We are the sole cherishers of India’s pride and its heritage which actually lies in its culture, its diversity, its uniqueness.
In such a scenario, where the point of a rich cultured country like India is facing the problem of losing its culture, are we, the youth; the Indian youth not ACTUALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS? Are we not putting our own self image, our self respect, our mother India’s pride at stake by doing so? Just think about it my dear friends.
There is no problem as such when we follow the western culture to some extent. The problem is we are forgetting our culture to a greater extent. Why should we do so? 21st century youth doesn’t mean forgetting the motherland and following or in short adopting western lifestyle in totality. Every culture has its own pros and cons. We individuals should be strong enough to take the good and throw off the bad. But what are we doing now? It’s a shame to see that “India’s pride”; “We Indian Youth” doesn’t have even a bit of importance for India’s pride and heritage, its culture; and we are easily influenced by western culture. Right from our clothing, till the music, the films, our attitude, our lifestyle, in short every aspect of our life has totally changed. “Change doesn’t happen on its own; it’s we who bring about the change.” But by this change, our mother India has lost its sheen and beauty; its place; its uniqueness in the world. AND WE, THE INDIAN YOUTH, PRIDE OF INDIA; ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT. Friends, it’s high time now and we got to think about this now or never. “STITCH IN TIME SAVES NINE”!!!!

It fills my heart with joy unspeakable to rise in response to the warm and cordial welcome which you have given us. l thank you in the name of the most ancient order of monks in the world; I thank you in the name of the mother of religions; and I thank you in the name of the millions and millions of Hindu people of all classes and sects. My thanks, also, to some of the speakers on this platform who, referring to the delegates from the Orient, have told you that these men from far-off nations may well claim the honor of bearing to different lands the idea of toleration. I am proud to belong to a religion which has taught the world both tolerance and universal acceptance. We believe not only in universal toleration, but we accept all religions as true. I am proud to belong to a nation which has sheltered the persecuted and the refugees of all religions and all nations of the earth. I am proud to tell you that we have gathered in our bosom the purest remnant of the Israelites, who came to the southern India and took refuge with us in the very year in which their holy temple was shattered to pieces by Roman tyranny. I am proud to belong to the religion which has sheltered and is still fostering the remnant of the grand Zoroastrian nation. I will quote to you, brethren, a few lines from a hymn which I remember to have repeated from my earliest boyhood, which is every day repeated by millions of human beings:
As the different streams having there sources in different places all mingle their water in the sea, so, O Lord, the different paths which men take through different tendencies, various though they appear, crooked or straight, all lead to thee.
The present convention, which is one of the most august assemblies ever held, is in itself a vindication, a declaration to the world, of the wonderful doctrine preached in the Gita:
Whosoever comes to Me, through whatsoever form, I reach him; all men are struggling through paths which in the end lead to me.
Sectarianism, bigotry, and its horrible descendant, fanaticism, have long possessed this beautiful earth. They have filled the earth with violence, drenched it often and often with human blood, destroyed civilization, and sent whole nations to despair. Had it not been for these horrible demons, human society would be far more advanced than it is now. But their time is come; and I fervently hope that the bell that tolled this morning in honor of this convention may be the death-knell of all fanaticism, of all persecutions with the sword or with the pen, and of all uncharitable feelings between persons wending their way to the same goal.

26/11 ,2008 was a black day in the history of INDIA.
11 terrorists came from Pakistan to Mumbai . they attacked in 8 places CST,Oberoi trident,tajmahal palace,cama hospital,nariman house,metro cinema,st.xavier;s college.

These terrorists killed innocent people in the cama hospital and also in the other places.
There enters our NATIONAL SECURITY GAURDS to save the lives of people.
But, unfortunately the terrorist killed 164 people and wounding 308.
AJMAL KASAB was the only terrorist who was caught alive….. but, our INDIAN GOVERNMENT took 4 years to punish him providing him with a lot of security with a separate bullet proof bulding which costs crores of rupees .it si such a ridiculous law that it is saving a culprit.

This is the real fate of our country providing security to the culprit who killed so many lives……
At last KASAB was hanged recently with 1 minute of pain. But. He is one the person who killed innocent people but the way he was punished is not the punishment should be given to him. He was dead with any suffering. But the people who suffered a lot because  were still crying……  .
Is this the justice to the people who lost their lives????? And who lost their friends ,sibblings, parents, children???
This is the situation in our country that we wasted lot of time , money and also the police providing security for him is this really required for a terrorist and also the lawyers trying their level best to punish the terrorist?????
Why should not we punish him immediately knowing that he is the one who is behind the blasts and death of the people?
In this fight we lost our  police too………. Really, a great salute to them they kept their life to save the people……
Let us know about 4 heros…….. who saved the life of the other people bygiving up their life…. Like a candle.

Right from the early morning when we start our day reading newspapers till the midnight, when we
complete watching second show, we face many problems most of them relate with our personal
life. And a few problems are ignored by us. Unfortunately they are problems relative society. These
are problems which annoy us and make our heart emotional the moment we watch them on T.V. it
makes us to just think but never give us an incentive to take a initiation and solve them. This article
tries to provide a unique solution for some social problems.

Whenever we see ‘head lines’ or ‘breaking news’ that India faces another terrorist attack, we
all feel “ARE WE SAFE IN OUR OWN COUNTRY?”. Whenever India compromises in border and
defence issues with leading powers like china a question arises,” BEING 1/6 TH OF WORLDS
POPULATION, DON’T WE HAVE STRONGEST DEFENCE TO PROTECT AND FIGHT FOR 120 CRORES
OF PEOPLE?” though we are 4th biggest army in the world, don’t we have the guts to fight
back?. But these questions don’t draw our attention for more than 5 – 10 minutes in our 18
hours of active day. Even though 99% of people who get the same doubt, they don’t want
themselves or their children to get into defence. That’s why these questions arise repeatedly,
every year.

Especially, we Indians want our lives to be wealthy and safe. After about 30yrs of career, after
reaching sufficient heights the person might boast about what he has achieved by then without
getting any help from the country. But if somebody asks, “WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOUR
COUNTRY?” definitely there would be a long pause before giving the answer. I believe most of us
don’t even pay the taxes properly.

Today for everyone a proper career is the most important of all when compared to the above
two issues. We work hard and plan for better degrees, better jobs and better salaries. Education
is the primary step for all this process especially after schooling our choice of choosing career
starts. In such an important step education is getting polluted. The quality of education is
depending upon, the money, previous academics and reservations. Now a days these corporate
style of selling education has started right from the school age. Definitely each and every
one of us (parents, teachers and students) would question ourselves at least once”WHY OUR
EDUCATION SYSTEM IS LIKE THIS?”.

One more sensitive problem in our country is reservations, although they are meant for social
equality but in long run it, has turned into a problem. Right from deciding college and course
for graduation to granting jobs in the government sector, reservations play a major role. This
may help many families of scheduled castes to stand in good position but at the same time
they are taking away the chances of worthy people born in other castes. And at this stage these
reservations creates an impact on young minds that they belongs to low caste and government
is there for helping in them. This in return means creating social inequality. And no doubt each
and every Indian heart would once struck with this problem.

“IS RESERVATION RUINING EDUCATION?”.

Fine let’s ignore all the above social problems and issues let’s consider our home and our
surroundings. Are we and our family members are healthy? Due to many reasons we Indians are
not getting sufficient nutrition. No regular exercises add to it and results in ill health. Especially it
is amongst youth. Tomorrow’s generations might face heart attacks and diabetes right from the
age of 20. Especially urban youth .this may be satiric but many modern and corporate schools
are making it true with no games and sports period in their curriculum. We see many children
wearing spectacles, suffering from obesity and with bent backs carrying heavy bag weights. It’s
getting hard to find a bench in which none of the students wearing spectacles. Ignoring physical
fitness right from childhood, ARE WE STRONG ENOUGH TO SAVE THE WOMEN OF OUR OWN
FAMILY?

The vision of oneness may solve these five problems of 5 disciplines which are interlinked.
After completing schooling each and every Indian should be sent to army and should
complete their intermediate or polytechnic in the army college, which must be run by the
central government. The boy /girl should work for defence and gradually complete their
course. And similar course and coaching will be provided to all and not basing on money,
caste, language or previous academic distinctions each and every body would be equal. Now
all the above problems would be solved. Let me explain, how.

Many people want to serve the nation by being part of defence. But due to lack of knowledge
many don’t turn up. But if this vision comes into force for at least one would serve the nation for
two years. Definitely the interested people would continue, which results in increase of Human
resources in the army so that the strength of the Indian army will increase.

Our parents or our children in future would proudly boast out that my son or my dad has worked
for the Indian army and that would be probably the greatest feeling in the world, serving for
the mother India. In this period of time patriotism, social responsibility and minimum discipline
would be rooted in the heart of each and every citizen.

Education standard would be safeguarded and would be provided irrespective of money and
previous academics. Quality education would be provided to all Indians at a fee which every
individual can effort. So the ranks and scores would be purely based on their talent levels.

The heated up problem in India can be solved in this way. The students of all castes and religion
would be provided with the same hostels and food, same course structure. So, there will be no
need of providing reservations and country would now be equal on all grounds.

As students would study in army colleges, fitness and exercise will be compulsory. People would
be healthy. With a regular fitness coming along with sports and exercises. He/She would be
courageous enough to face physical attacks on their lives. Then the daily incidents of gang rapes,
thefts, murders and other criminal activities would be reduced. The entire nation would be
strong and safe.

Am sure with this vision my country will be united, strong and safe.

Mera Bharath mahaan.

There should be no doubt at this point — Delhi is the rape capital of South Asia. . The rape capital epithet comes from simple numbers. Delhi is comparable in population size to Kolkata and Mumbai. If rape were to be considered a ‘natural’ human pathology, the number of rapes would be proportional to the number of humans. when it comes to citieFrom bus drivers to poor male labourers, the middle-class/upper-middle-class of Delhi has willy-nilly implicated all but itself. I

Recently a news burst out claiming that a young lady have been raped by a gang of boys causing a shme to indian society .
The main cause of this incident is lack of  proper protection on women. There are several such cases
REASONS
THE MAIN RESONS FOR SUCH TYPE OF ACCIDENTS ARE
  • no respect on girl child     in indian families girl child is supposed to be lesser importanat person compared to a boy because of this boys are trying to dominate girls in every aspect
  • cinemas  in cenemas a heroien character is portryed similar to that of aprostitude and her costumes are such that they force male to encouerage these type of incidents
  • education system  our education system is limited in teaching subjects .It don't teach the moral values &human relationships
SOLUTIONS

Death penalty not permanent solution in rape cases

  •  Girls should be provided with proper education.
  • They should attain financil freedom
  • family relations should be such that a girl shold be supported in crises.
  •  Our attitude towards women need to change.
  •  Female foeticide, rapes, molestation, gender bias and homicide - stand in testimony to moral bankruptcy in our psychotic society.
  • Suggesting Child marriage to stop rape cases is no better than blaming girls for provocation.
  • hanging the rapists is not a permanant solution at all

JANA GANA MANA was written by RABINDRANATH TAGORE in Bengali.
It was accepted  as national anthem on 27th December 1911. We completed 101 years to our national anthem  just yesterday…

According to TIMES OF INDIA, “seven out of ten women are sexually harassed.” It is the major problem that our country is facing now. An overwhelming majority of women (90%) who experience sexual harassment do not register a police complaint. Sexual harassment could take place anywhere, at any time, by anyone and in any form. It could happen at public places, school, educational institutes, workplace, even at home. Sexual harassment can be verbal (comments about your body, spreading sexual rumors, sexual remarks or accusations, dirty jokes or stories), physical (grabbing, rubbing, flashing or mooning, touching, pinching in a sexual way, sexual assault) or visual (display of naked pictures or sex-related objects, obscene gestures).  It indicates that it is not safe for girls to move out of their houses. Even age is not a concern. Either a little school going girl or a middle aged lady all are same in the eyes of harassers. Harassers are just like hungry beasts who just want a prey to satisfy their hunger. I think you all know about the Delhi rape case. This indicates that there is no protection for girls at our capital. Then what about other states?? please think of it.  it’s a shame to our nation

CAUSES OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT:
  • Sometimes, the women   is  so traumatized by the harassment that she suffers serious emotional and physical consequences—and very often, becomes unable to perform her job           properly.
  • Women  suffer  from some debilitating stress reaction, including anxiety, depression, headaches, sleep disorders, weight loss or gain, nausea, lowered self-esteem and sexual dysfunction.
  • Sexual harassment has a cumulative, demoralizing effect that discourages women from asserting themselves within the workplace, while among men it reinforces stereotypes of women employees as sex objects.
SUPPORT THE WOMEN :
  • if you know someone who is being harassed, give  her your support. Encourage the recipient to talk about it and to take immediate action to stop it.
  • if you actually see or hear an incident of sexual harassment or are subjected to an offensive environment, you can also take the appropriate steps to resolve the harassment or co-file with the     complainant.
  • when a recipient files a complaint, if possible, support him or her throughout the complaint process.
PREVENTION OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT:
The most effective weapon against sexual harassment is prevention.
  • Promptly investigate and deal with all complaints of harassment.
  • Appropriately discipline people who harass women.
  • Provide protection and support for the women who feel they are being harassed.
  • Take action to eliminate discriminatory jokes, posters, e-mails and photos at the work site.
  • Monitor and revise the policy and education/information programs on a regular basis
Now-a –days women are equally engaged in all fields similar to men. They have equal opportunities with men. That means they are equal to men but why these harassment on women . while you are commenting on other women remind your sister, mother, wife, daughter .

A small request to all parents

"Daydreaming is a short-term detachment from one's immediate surroundings, during which a person's contact with reality is blurred and partially substituted by a visionary fantasy, especially one of happy, pleasant thoughts, hopes or ambitions, imagined as coming to pass, and experienced while awake".

There are many types of daydreams, and there is no consistent definition amongst psychologists, however the characteristic that is common to all forms of daydreaming meets the criteria for mild dissociation.

Daydreaming is a powerful tool in aligning the Universe to bring your desires into your life. And, it's so incredibly simple. The trick to daydreaming successfully is two-fold.

Power of DayDreaming

Bring your imagination to work

The pace of change in the work world is increasing exponentially at a dramatic rate. A report highlights a startling prediction "that we will face the equivalent of all the milestones of the 20th century--world wars, creation of the automobile, sequencing of DNA, rise of the Internet, etc. in a single week in the year 2025."

Tuning into Daydreams for Career Direction

If you want to work at something you love, don't ignore the spontaneous thoughts and images that come to you when you imagine yourself at work. Okay, you might not be a rock star, but you could work in event promotion. You might not be an actress, but you might be happy in advertising.

Mind Wandering Enhances Creative Problem Solving

Lately I've been accused of "obsessing" about a pesky financial problem. Not a gigantic problem, but a source of ongoing irritation and minor conflict. At any rate, this financial quandry got into my mind, and I found myself waking up thinking about it, thinking about it while auto-piloting through my morning get-ready-for-work routine, and defaulting to it during random periods of mind wandering. It's common to default to thoughts that carry the most emotional punch, and this one was pulling anger triggers.

Are Your Daydreams Stuck in a Rut?

Daydreaming and fantasizing are great ways to explore options, escape the routines of daily life, and find outlets for intense emotion. But sometimes even your daydreams can get stuck in a rut. Check out seven ways to jump-start your imagination. Most of us have heard the saying “An idle mind is the workshop of the devil”.  And as stated above we often tell daydreaming employees and children to stop wasting time. That it is not a waste of time. In fact it may be the biggest spark of creativity and highly related to your intelligence.

“Instead of being shackled to our immediate surroundings and sensations, the daydreaming mind is free to engage in abstract thought and imaginative ramblings and interesting counterfactuals. As a result, we’re able to envision things that don’t actually exist.” Pretty powerful stuff. “It turns out that cultivating an active idle mind, or teaching yourself how to daydream effectively, might actually encourage the sort of long-range neural connections that make us smart.”

Daydreams help us to:

    understand feelings, hopes and desires
    problem solve and achieve goals
    reduce stress
    increase creativity

Until fairly recently, daydreaming was maligned. Freud associated it with neurotic behavior and infantile urges. Parents and teachers scolded us for having our “head in the clouds.”

But if you feel guilty for daydreaming, don’t. Experts say that approximately 95 percent of us daydream daily, and that we spend 30 percent of our waking time lost in such reveries. More importantly, these wanderings of the mind play a critical role in helping us to understand our feelings, hopes and desires. They can even provide a map to help us achieve our goals and become the person we want to be.

Waking dreams

Daydreams are loosely defined as moments when our conscious awareness is separated from the immediate task at hand or situation. Such waking dreams may be reality-based—planning for a party or rehearsing a request for a raise—or they may be fantasies, dramatic dreams of power, revenge, love or escape.

Some daydreams come to us unbidden—when we’re bored with a routine task such as commuting to work or loading the dishwasher. Still other daydreams can be conjured at will to create a desired response, such as sexual fantasies.

Their function

Either way, the consensus is that daydreams serve a major human function by helping us:

find comfort in times of stress
release pent-up frustrations in nonthreatening ways
    problem solve
    define plans and aspirations
    entertain ourselves when bored
    stimulate arousal
cope with overwhelming emotions and experiences
    build self-esteem
    reduce depression
    tap into creativity

Is daydreaming ever a problem?

People prone to worry and depression need to consciously avoid daydreaming about catastrophes or ruminating on depressing scenarios, real or imagined. Excessive daydreaming may be a sign of frustration in achieving life’s goals, in which case, the problem is not with the daydreams , but the underlying life issues.

Daydreaming will determine the standard you want to uphold in your life. If you allow yourself to daydream of a wonderful relationship, you won't settle for lesser ones, because you know how the good one feels and you will recognize it when it comes.

If you daydream of a life of ease and grace, you will begin to see where you choose or create unnecessary struggle. If you daydream of a meaningful career, you open up to receiving inspiration and new business ideas from the heavens as you release yourself from the censorship of old limitations

Daydreaming is productive time when it is used as a new standard and measure for your actions, choices, words, thoughts, and how you spend your resources. Daydreaming is visiting the future so you will know how to act in the present. Daydreaming is a gift from God.

Humans are a daydreaming species. According to a recent study led by the Harvard psychologists Daniel Gilbert and Matthew A. Killingsworth, people let their minds wander forty-seven per cent of the time they are awake. (The scientists demonstrated this by developing an iPhone app that contacted twenty-two hundred and fifty volunteers at random intervals during the day.) In fact, the only activity during which we report that our minds are not constantly wandering is “love making.” We’re able to focus for that.

Analyzing Your Daydreams

1. Find out what is behind the daydream:  There is usually a link between your daydream and the emotions are experiencing in real life. Try to pinpoint what aspect of your life or situation that may be triggering the daydream.

2. How do you feel in your daydream? Just as in your night time dreams, the feelings you experience in your daydreams are an indicator of what you are really feeling in real life.

3. Look out for recurring themes: Daydreaming about the same thing repeatedly is a good indication that you need to deal and confront the situation.

Daydream Themes

What you daydream about is indicative of what you may be really feeling. It reveals your unconscious thinking. Below are some common themes:

Disaster: When you envision the worst-case scenario about a situation, you are experiencing a disaster daydream. Such daydreams reflect your worries and fears. Next time you start daydreaming about something terrible happening, imagine something positive instead. Eventually, you will train yourself not to worry so much about whatever fears you keep imagining.

Escape:  Daydreaming about exotic getaways/adventures or faraway lands, suggests that you may be feeling stuck in the same old routine. You want to try something different or uncharacteristic of yourself. You may also be feeling overwhelmed, stressed out or are looking for some sort of escape. Take some time to for some relaxation.

Glory:  Daydreams about heroic acts indicates that you are looking for attention and/or respect. Perhaps, you are feeling ignored or powerless in your real life. This daydream may serve to motivate you.

Revenge:  Daydreams about revenge may serve as a safe outlet for you to relieve your anger toward someone. Having these daydreams on a regular basis may be a strong indication that you will act on your thoughts.

The benefits of daydreaming

Help to solve problems

When we daydream, brain areas linked to complex problem solving—once thought to be dormant during daydreaming—are actually more active than when we focus on a routine task.

Daydreams for better sleep

Understanding your daydreams can help you fall asleep at night. If you have problems falling asleep, it may be that when you’re trying to sleep, your daydreams are too structured—maybe you’re thinking about work, or planning something detailed, or trying to solve a problem. Instead, set aside time before you go to bed to think through these issues. When you want to fall asleep, let your daydreams become fanciful, free, strange and wild. Soon you’ll be swept out of conscious control and into the land of sleep.

Daydreaming for Improved Creativity

Cultivating your imagination can only be done with practice, and the result can often lead to a boost in your creative abilities. Daydreaming helps you to organize thoughts and think of new perspectives; no matter how crazy and outrageous your dream may be, there are some instances where you can actually apply the ideas in real life.

Daydreaming to Lower Blood Pressure

Daydreaming is a form of hypnosis according to the Anti-Stress Center; as a result, it can lower your  stress levels and naturally decrease your blood pressure. If you're experiencing high levels of anxiety and finding yourself in a continuous panic mode, spending time daydreaming might help take down the stress factor.

 Daydreaming to Boost Your Mood

Reducing stress and channeling your thoughts towards a positive visualization is a great way to boost your mood. Just close your eyes and conjure up some positive images or situations; this is one of the best ways to practice your imagination, and just might give you a boost in mood.

Daydreaming to Brainstorm New Ideas

Since daydreaming taps into your creative and imagination skills, it can also help you solve some tough problems or challenges. When you put yourself in brainstorming mode, you're opening your mind to dozens of possibilities; daydreaming can help you process each of these ideas to determine if the outcome might be positive or negative.

 Daydreaming to Escape

Most people associate daydreaming as a form of escapism, and it can be when it's practiced for an extended period of time. Still, it's a fairly risk-free type of an escape; as long as you're not acting out your dream, the process can be harmless.

Daydreaming to Improve Your Memory

If you're trying to remember a person, place or thing, daydreaming can help you fill in the details of old memories you may not have given a second thought in the past. Spending most of your day in this state however, is not recommended.

Overall, daydreaming can be a valuable way to reduce stress and tap into your creativity. However, there are some negative 'side effects' of constant daydreaming that can interfere with healthy living; the best way to manage your daydreaming is to keep it under control, and use it as a stress-relieving process, not a daily state of mind.
