Right from the early morning when we start our day reading newspapers till the midnight, when we
complete watching second show, we face many problems most of them relate with our personal
life. And a few problems are ignored by us. Unfortunately they are problems relative society. These
are problems which annoy us and make our heart emotional the moment we watch them on T.V. it
makes us to just think but never give us an incentive to take a initiation and solve them. This article
tries to provide a unique solution for some social problems.
Whenever we see ‘head lines’ or ‘breaking news’ that India faces another terrorist attack, we
all feel “ARE WE SAFE IN OUR OWN COUNTRY?”. Whenever India compromises in border and
defence issues with leading powers like china a question arises,” BEING 1/6 TH OF WORLDS
POPULATION, DON’T WE HAVE STRONGEST DEFENCE TO PROTECT AND FIGHT FOR 120 CRORES
OF PEOPLE?” though we are 4th biggest army in the world, don’t we have the guts to fight
back?. But these questions don’t draw our attention for more than 5 – 10 minutes in our 18
hours of active day. Even though 99% of people who get the same doubt, they don’t want
themselves or their children to get into defence. That’s why these questions arise repeatedly,
every year.
Especially, we Indians want our lives to be wealthy and safe. After about 30yrs of career, after
reaching sufficient heights the person might boast about what he has achieved by then without
getting any help from the country. But if somebody asks, “WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOUR
COUNTRY?” definitely there would be a long pause before giving the answer. I believe most of us
don’t even pay the taxes properly.
Today for everyone a proper career is the most important of all when compared to the above
two issues. We work hard and plan for better degrees, better jobs and better salaries. Education
is the primary step for all this process especially after schooling our choice of choosing career
starts. In such an important step education is getting polluted. The quality of education is
depending upon, the money, previous academics and reservations. Now a days these corporate
style of selling education has started right from the school age. Definitely each and every
one of us (parents, teachers and students) would question ourselves at least once”WHY OUR
EDUCATION SYSTEM IS LIKE THIS?”.
One more sensitive problem in our country is reservations, although they are meant for social
equality but in long run it, has turned into a problem. Right from deciding college and course
for graduation to granting jobs in the government sector, reservations play a major role. This
may help many families of scheduled castes to stand in good position but at the same time
they are taking away the chances of worthy people born in other castes. And at this stage these
reservations creates an impact on young minds that they belongs to low caste and government
is there for helping in them. This in return means creating social inequality. And no doubt each
and every Indian heart would once struck with this problem.
“IS RESERVATION RUINING EDUCATION?”.
Fine let’s ignore all the above social problems and issues let’s consider our home and our
surroundings. Are we and our family members are healthy? Due to many reasons we Indians are
not getting sufficient nutrition. No regular exercises add to it and results in ill health. Especially it
is amongst youth. Tomorrow’s generations might face heart attacks and diabetes right from the
age of 20. Especially urban youth .this may be satiric but many modern and corporate schools
are making it true with no games and sports period in their curriculum. We see many children
wearing spectacles, suffering from obesity and with bent backs carrying heavy bag weights. It’s
getting hard to find a bench in which none of the students wearing spectacles. Ignoring physical
fitness right from childhood, ARE WE STRONG ENOUGH TO SAVE THE WOMEN OF OUR OWN
FAMILY?
The vision of oneness may solve these five problems of 5 disciplines which are interlinked.
After completing schooling each and every Indian should be sent to army and should
complete their intermediate or polytechnic in the army college, which must be run by the
central government. The boy /girl should work for defence and gradually complete their
course. And similar course and coaching will be provided to all and not basing on money,
caste, language or previous academic distinctions each and every body would be equal. Now
all the above problems would be solved. Let me explain, how.
Many people want to serve the nation by being part of defence. But due to lack of knowledge
many don’t turn up. But if this vision comes into force for at least one would serve the nation for
two years. Definitely the interested people would continue, which results in increase of Human
resources in the army so that the strength of the Indian army will increase.
Our parents or our children in future would proudly boast out that my son or my dad has worked
for the Indian army and that would be probably the greatest feeling in the world, serving for
the mother India. In this period of time patriotism, social responsibility and minimum discipline
would be rooted in the heart of each and every citizen.
Education standard would be safeguarded and would be provided irrespective of money and
previous academics. Quality education would be provided to all Indians at a fee which every
individual can effort. So the ranks and scores would be purely based on their talent levels.
The heated up problem in India can be solved in this way. The students of all castes and religion
would be provided with the same hostels and food, same course structure. So, there will be no
need of providing reservations and country would now be equal on all grounds.
As students would study in army colleges, fitness and exercise will be compulsory. People would
be healthy. With a regular fitness coming along with sports and exercises. He/She would be
courageous enough to face physical attacks on their lives. Then the daily incidents of gang rapes,
thefts, murders and other criminal activities would be reduced. The entire nation would be
strong and safe.
Am sure with this vision my country will be united, strong and safe.
Mera Bharath mahaan.
